INSCAPE
Inscape is rooted in the grounding presence of natural elements—rocks, stones, and the slow transformations they embody. I draw parallels between geological processes—strata, sediment, erosion—and the layered nature of my human experience.
My process is intuitive. I begin with free, expressive layers: fluid inks, gestural marks, and unexpected colours. As the work evolves, the energy shifts—becoming more deliberate, more considered. This mirrors the balance between chaos and order, instinct and reflection—a dynamic I find both in the natural world and within myself.
I feel that these paintings invite stillness. They belong in quiet, uncluttered spaces where the eye and mind can rest, and where their depth and texture can visually unfold.
